Check how your skincare works together
Add the products and ingredients you already use. See what clashes, what doubles up, and what actually fits your skin.
My Shelf is a free tool by Glow Simplified that checks an entire skincare shelf at once: your real products and ingredients, clashes, duplicates, pregnancy flags, and skin-type fit. It runs in the browser, needs no account, and keeps your shelf on your device.
190+ ingredients · 264 pairing answers · 383 comparisons · one method.
See what clashes, before it costs you
You add two things and hope they get along. My Shelf takes the hoping out of it: add two actives that fight, like retinol and an exfoliating acid, and it flags the clash and tells you why. It reads skincare compatibility in a single view. Want the detail on one pairing? It links straight to the can you mix answer, or you can open the conflict checker to test any two or three ingredients yourself.
Spot the doubles you do not need
Two products doing the same job is money sitting in a drawer. When your shelf holds two of a kind, My Shelf asks the honest question, do I need both, and points you to a product head-to-head or our free ingredient comparison tool so you can keep the one that suits you and let the other go.
Know what order, morning or evening
My Shelf turns your shelf into a simple AM and PM view, so you can see what belongs in the morning, what belongs at night, and what to keep apart. No more guessing whether something goes on before or after the rest.
Is it right for my skin type?
Dry, oily, combination or sensitive, the same ingredient can suit one person and bother another. Tell My Shelf your skin type, or find it with the free 60-second skin quiz, and it reads your whole shelf through it: what genuinely suits you, and what to treat with a little care.
Your products and 190+ ingredients, one search away
Start typing and add real products, each decoded from its own ingredient list, or any of more than 190 ingredients backed by a plain-English page in the ingredient glossary. No barcodes and no scanning, just the names you already see on your labels.
Pregnancy-safe skincare, flagged for you
If you are pregnant or trying, a few ingredients are best paused. My Shelf marks the ones to avoid, or to raise with your doctor first, the moment you add them, so pregnancy-safe skincare is one less thing to research.
This is general education, not medical advice. Your doctor or midwife knows your situation, so treat the flags as a prompt to ask, never as a diagnosis.
No account. No catch.
- No account, no email. You can use every part of My Shelf without signing up for anything.
- Your shelf stays on your device. It is saved in your own browser, not on our servers, so we cannot see what you add.
- No sponsorships, no affiliate links. Nothing here is pay-to-play, so a verdict is never for sale.
- Every verdict comes from fixed rules, built from a scored knowledge base, the same method behind all our tools. See exactly how we score.
My Shelf, answered
Is My Shelf free?
Yes, completely. My Shelf is free to use, with no trial, no upgrade and nothing to buy. Add as many ingredients as you like, as often as you like.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up and no email needed to use it. Open the tool and start adding ingredients straight away.
Can I check my whole routine?
Yes. Add your actual products, we decode each one from its ingredient list, or add single ingredients if you prefer. Either way, My Shelf checks the whole shelf against itself: what clashes, what doubles up, and what order it goes in.
How do you know what clashes?
Every verdict comes from the same fixed rules that power our checker and comparison pages, built from a scored ingredient knowledge base rather than opinion or sponsorship. You can read the full method on how we score.
Is my shelf private?
Yes. Your shelf lives in your own browser, on your device, and is never sent to us or anyone else. We cannot see what you add. Clearing your browser data clears your shelf.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. My Shelf works in any modern browser, on your phone, tablet or computer. There is nothing to install and nothing to download.
Does it flag ingredients to avoid in pregnancy?
Yes. When you add an ingredient that is best avoided, or used only with a doctor’s go-ahead during pregnancy, My Shelf marks it automatically. It is general education, not medical advice, so treat the flag as a prompt to ask your doctor.
Ready when you are.
