Where it fits in your routine
This one works on contact — there is nothing to wait for.
What that covers, and what it does not
Measured on: slip and surface smoothing from the deposited ester film, on contact.
A branched C9/C9 ester with hydration score 1 and no active role; its functions are slip and solubilising oil-phase UV filters at 2-15%. The smoothing is a physical film effect present as soon as it spreads. Any sunscreen performance in products containing it belongs to the filters it carries, not to the ester, and no timed skin outcome exists for the ester itself.
Mechanism; CIR alkyl ester safety assessments describe function and tolerance, not efficacy timing.
Plays well with
- uv filters
- silicones
